Quote Terms

We quote a fixed price before work starts. Once you accept a quote, that is the price you pay for the work described in it. We do not start chargeable work without your go-ahead.

A quote is an offer to do the work described, not a confirmation of a booking. Your booking is confirmed when we agree a time window with you.

When you accept a quote, your contract for the plumbing work is with the entity named in your quote, trading as Brighton Plumbing Co. That entity is responsible for the work and honours the warranty and consumer guarantees that apply to it.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date on the quote. After 30 days, material and labour costs may have changed, so ask us to reconfirm before accepting. We will tell you if anything has changed.

A quote covers the work, materials and site conditions described in it. It is based on what we can see and test at the time of quoting, including anything you have told us and any photos you have provided.

Some plumbing is hidden inside walls, under floors or underground, and its condition cannot be known until it is exposed. If we uncover something the quote could not reasonably have anticipated, such as collapsed or misaligned pipework, non-compliant previous work or concealed water damage, we stop, show you what we found, and explain the options.

Any variation to the quoted price is agreed with you in writing before we proceed with the additional work. You are never charged for a variation you have not approved.

Payment terms, including when payment is due and the payment methods we accept, are set out in your quote and invoice.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for purpose.
